First stage is the same for both "CLASSIC" and "EXTREME" versions. It is 4km easy run around the lake "Štrbské pleso"

Route starts at hotel Crocus and leads asphalt way to Oliver's Apartment House. Behind the bridge over asphalt road the route turns left to Strbske pleso lake and continues clockwise on the sidewalk around the lake. After passing the whole circuit, it turns left , from where it rises to asphalt and goes down to the right to the starting point by the hotel Crocus.
